BBR vs. Gasoline
So far no one has brought anything up as far as 1/43 handbuilts are concerned. I just started collecting these little jewels, (Thank God for ebay) and would like to know the difference between BBR and Gasoline. I know that Gasoline is a subsidiary of BBR and they are assembled in China from parts made in Italy. But, other than price, I really can't tell the two apart! In my collection, I have 2 Ferrari F430's, one made by BBR and the other by Gasoline. Other than the liveries, there is no noticable difference. You would expect the cheaper of the two models to have less of something (detail, quality control) but this is not the case. I'm not complaining, but this screwiness has got me confused. If all BBR and Gasoline models are like this, then what's the point? Also, would anyone know of a source, besides ebay for built Starter models? Thanks for any help!! Dave
