Bizarre Ford GT40
About a year ago the owner of Bizarre responded to my e mail and stated his plan was to produce a complete history of the GT40/MKI/II/III/IV. So far he has been very complete even releasing the press introduction car which had only been done before (and very badly) by Solido. Todd

good point!
I think in due time Bizarre will produce all the GT40 versions mentioned/discussed. It would only make sense at this point to continue and complete the series. I can't imagine there are any licensing issues? Mark

I hope you are right Radical, about a complete Gt40 collection. The 2008 lisitngs don't show any new releases coming however. The Nurburgring car is gorgeous, but needed some tweaking with the wheel knockoffs and edge of the nose color-not a big deal. I think the knockoffs are a bit too large to be in scale.

Just got the word!
Radical/Dave/Rocspo I just received the la-*test*-('") Bizarre order sheet and the #1/#2 MK2 are on there from '65 LeMans. Says June for delivery? I will have the codes created pronto. Maybe Hugo and Fernando are lurking and saw your post! Take care, Mark

Hey Mark: Where's those new listings for the '65 GT40? I will definitely be wanting those for my collection. I was just admiring some '65 Marsh Gt40s recently but could not get past the 'sticker stock' prices. Glad I waited............... :D :D <

Optimistic
If the two Ford C100s released recently are any indication, Hugo & the boys might just catch the minor detail differences in the various GT40s from 1966. I'd love to have an accurate set of them all, including the Sebring & Daytona winners. Here's a shot of the two C100s. While much less important cars than the GT 40s, Spark went to the extra effort to correctly model all the little differences between them. Notice the air intakes on the B pillars, the main intakes on the sides of the bodies, the rear wheel bump-outs on the body of #7, the cut lines on the engine covers differ, and the rear wing endplates are different shapes. Even the rear diffusers are different. If the second car didn't require a new mold, major reworking of the original mold was needed. How many other makers would have slapped new decals on the existing mold and considered the job done? Ric

Spark/Bizarre
Rocspo, Nice pix and indeed Spark/Bizarre are one of the few 1:43 mfg. that are going the extra mile. Well illustrated, ya keep that up and we'll have you doing weekly model reviews! Have a good one! Mark
