Bizarre Mirage M1 striping-flaw or correct?
Having received the BZ384 Mirage M1 Spa winner, one can't help but notice the misalignment of the front striping; I've seen this on several other dealer photos and auction photos-is this a production error, or did the car really race this way? I can find only one photo of the 1:1 Spa version and from the photo angle it's inconclusive --the striping is impossible to loosen and reposition!

From what I can tell, it looks like the decal was placed wrong. I've never seen a Gulf livery in which the orange line wasn't straight...why would've they done that? Mike

I Emailed Fernando Pinto of Bizarre requesting a decal sheet to fix this; here is the photo her sent vefifying the striping placement as being correct! My apologies to Bizarre and Replicarz for asking for a replacement!!!

WOW!!! Good eye! I never even noticed. So dug out old "Fas-*test*-('") Fords" and "GT-40 History and Race Record" Not too many photos of the Spa winner. In the posted picture, it looks like the roof stripe is at a different angle from the stripes on the hood and nose. The pictures I saw in the books it looks like sometimes the stripes matched and sometimes they were "mis-aligned" Whose to say that during practice/qualifying and the race that the cover wasn't removed and replaced causing the "mis-alignment" at some point when the photograph is taken. Just a thought It may not look right...but the photo shows it's correct. Nice catch on the detail.
