GMP 1:18 Masterpiece Collection I'm sure most of you have seen the pics of GMP's new high end Ferrari 330 P4. It looks pretty awesome. Do we have another player entering the high end ring? Sure looks that way to me. Can they produce the quality to compete with the likes of Exoto and CMC? If I know Tom Long and his crew, they have done their homework and they know what will be expected by the collector. Time will tell.
How come it has taken this long for us to see a P4 in 1:18 is beyond me?

You are correct sir! Jouef these models were very average quality even back in the day - bring on the GMP P4's

I had forgotten about those I knew they did the 412P, but I had completely forgotten about the P4's they did. Jouef, wow.....blast from the past. What year were they made, like early 90's?

1/18th P-4 Jouef made a series of 1/43rd Ferraris that included the P-4. Very average quality. They tried to detail them using things found in a French craft store. I had 3 of them but they went to e-bay heaven last summer.

I remember those Pat,
You're giving away our age with info like that! Indeed I remember the Joueff "high end" 1:43 series. I think they did a 250 GTO and a GT40? Maybe I'm losing it after all these years. I think there were 4 or 5 in the series. I have seen them bring some good money on ebay occasionally.

Jouef Cars Which is the same as yours Mark. I had a '64 GTO, P-4, And 250GT SWB. I think they also made a 288GTO Evolutin.

Hey guys; i'm sure GMP had to pay PLENTY to get the Ferrari licensing, some of which will be recouped by the release of the larage RAR version. There should be several livery versions, including the Daytona 24 hour winner. I hope they expand and include a coupe version in the future.

other versions? Hi Dave,
Welcome and thanks for stopping by. I'm certain that there will be many more versions of the P4 done over time, but Tom and the boys are being rather tight lipped about what the future releases will be, at least right now.
I think they are in this Ferrari thing for the long haul, so this will be a 3 or 5 year plan if I had to bet. I know they want to do some street cars too.
Have a good one!
